About us

Manufacturing since 1995,shipping worldwide

InterEcoBroom was founded in 1995 in Chișinău, Republic of Moldova. We produce natural hand-bound sorghum brooms — preserving traditional techniques passed down through generations of craftsmen.

Production capacity — up to 1,000,000 brooms per year. The range: five product lines for any buyer requirement — from the standard triple-stitched to the exclusive broom.

Export markets: the European Union, the USA, Canada, Arab countries and Japan. Delivery by road, sea and air — to suit the logistics needs of any market. We work directly with hypermarkets, distributors and wholesale buyers.

Milestones

Three decades,six turning points

1995

Founded in Chișinău

InterEcoBroom opens its first broom workshop in Chișinău. Production is entirely by hand, focused on local agricultural and household markets.

2005

Own cultivation

Sorghum planting expands on land near the workshop. Growing our own raw material gives us control over fibre quality and harvest timing and independence from supply, setting us apart from producers that rely on commodity-market stock.

2012

First export contracts

The first B2B export contracts are signed with wholesale partners in neighbouring markets. The transition from domestic supplier to international exporter begins; logistics and documentation processes are formalised.

2012

Going global

Regular deliveries to the EU, the USA, Canada, the CIS and the Middle East. InterEcoBroom serves buyers across several continents, supplying full trucks and containers to wholesale partners and hypermarkets.

2018

Meeting European standards

Full compliance with European export requirements is completed. Preparation of the necessary documentation for EU market access is established and customs procedures are systematised.

2024

Launch of the InterEcoBroom brand

The InterEcoBroom brand and a digital B2B wholesale platform. A range of 5 product lines is formalised and an online enquiry-handling system for international buyers is launched.

How we make it

From field to pallet —three deliberate stages

01

Stage 01

Growing

Sorghum is grown on our own fields in Moldova. After harvest — usually in late summer — the stalks are cut by hand, sorted by fibre quality and laid out in the open air for natural drying. This slow, sun-driven process preserves the fibre’s flexibility and density without the brittleness caused by forced drying. Only fibres that meet our standards for length and uniformity reach the workshop.

02

Stage 02

Binding

Each broom head is assembled by hand from a measured amount of dry sorghum. Our craftsmen hand-pick individual stalks to achieve even density across the whole head, after which stitching begins. The triple-stitch technique — three rows of stitching across the full width of the head — is carried out with machine precision but positioned and tensioned by hand, ensuring an even hold on the fibres with no compression or gaps. Every finished broom head undergoes a manual quality check before packing.

03

Stage 03

Export

Finished brooms are formed into bundles (50 units for standard lines, 10 units for handled models), shrink-wrapped and loaded onto European-standard pallets. We prepare a complete set of export documentation, including the commercial invoice and packing list — everything a European importer needs for customs clearance without delays.

Our values

Three commitments,kept in every batch

Fully plant-based

Naturalness

100% sorghum fibre from our own crops — no synthetics, no plastic binders, no artificial coatings. The broom is made entirely from plant materials and fully decomposes at the end of its life. We believe a cleaning product should not leave behind more waste than it clears away.

Reliable supply

Reliability

Three decades of continuous production mean we know how to plan supply, build buffer stock and communicate lead times honestly. Standard pallet specifications and a predictable production calendar make us a dependable partner for importers who cannot afford supply-chain disruptions.

Plastic-free, closed-loop

Sustainability

Sorghum is a low-input crop that restores soil structure and needs no irrigation in Moldova’s climate. Production waste — fibre offcuts, binding cord — is composted on site or returned to the fields. We are moving towards a fully closed loop: grow, bind, return.

Country of manufacture

Made inMoldova

Moldova is a small country between Romania and Ukraine whose name does not immediately suggest manufacturing excellence to most buyers. Yet for producing sorghum brooms, Moldova offers a combination of advantages that is genuinely hard to replicate elsewhere: a suitable climate, centuries-old craft knowledge, competitive production costs and direct access to EU markets.

Our address is Chișinău, Republic of Moldova. Transit time to Bulgaria is typically 1–2 days; to Poland, 2–3 days. On request, we can arrange freight forwarding.

The company has operated since 1995 and supplies natural sorghum brooms to wholesale partners across Europe. Quality standards refined over three decades guarantee the consistency of every batch.
